- Development of scale down simulated chemostat systems
- Process development for continuous cell lysis and supercoiled pDNA retrieval
- Media optimisation to maximize pDNA productivity
- Inducible and tunable promoters to improve pDNA manufacturing

- Multi-parallel automated scale-down STR bioreactors
- Bubble column (photo-) bioreactors for CO2 sequestration from algae
- Solid state bioreactors for fungal cultures

- Process models for pDNA manufacturing
- Dynamic predictive models of mammalian cell cultures for the production of mAbs
- Stochastic parameter estimation algorithms
